© 2012-2024 Knights of Columbus-Incarnation Council #15332
Founded
on
July
1,
2011,
Incarnation
Council
#15332
started
with
42
members
in
the
Parish
Hall
of
the
Church
of
the
Incarnation.
For
the
2011-2012
fraternal
year,
it
was
the
first
Council
established
in
the
State
of
Florida
and
the
Knights
of
Columbus
Order.
It
is
through
five
key
areas
of
service
–
faith,
community,
family,
youth,
and
fellowship
–
that
the
Knights
of
Incarnation
Council
truly
make
a
difference
and
receive
their
greatest,
and
most
personal,
rewards.
Faith
–
The
Incarnation
Council
Knights
serve
as
Eucharistic
Ministers,
Ushers,
RCIA
Leaders
and
various
other
ministries.
We
support
the
Incarnation
School
by organizing any required fund-raising or volunteer support activities. Our Council provides financial support to a seminarian in the Diocese of Venice.
Community
–
Our
Council
Knights
participate
in
the
weekly
Friday
Prayer
Vigils
at
the
Sarasota
Planned
Parenthood,
the
40
Days
for
Life
Program
in
October
and
the
Diocese’s
Annual
Prayer
Walk
in
January.
We
assist
the
Incarnation
Conference
of
the
St.
Vincent
DePaul
Society
and
raise
funds
to
support
disabled-related organizations in Sarasota.
Family
–
Incarnation
Council
is
family
oriented.
We
organize
family
dinners,
picnics
and
breakfasts;
offer
Masses
for
departed
Knights
and
their
families
and sponsor an annual Memorial Mass and Communion.
Youth
–
For
our
youth,
we
conduct
an
annual
“Spelling
Bee,"
“Basketball
Free
Throw"
and
“Substance
Abuse
Poster
Contest.”
We
award
scholarships
to
Incarnation School students who will attend Cardinal Mooney High School.
Fellowship
–
We
also
have
some
fun.
Our
socials
include
such
events
as
a
ball
game,
dinner
cruise,
or
a
concert.
And,
we
recognize
a
“Knight
of
the
Month,
a
”Family
of
the
Month,”
a
“Knight
of
the
Year”
and
a
“Family
of
the
Year”
for
exemplary
service
to
Church,
Community,
Council,

and
